Miss Penina Nehama, a student at the Southeastern Seminary, brought the message at Watkins Chapel Church Sunday night. She showed slides and pictures of Is rael. A dedication service was held at Watkins Chapel Church Sun day fpr the outside Bulletin Board, in honor of Ronnie Godwin. Betsy Bryan of Raleigh spent Monday night with Mr. and Mrs. Larry Lewis and Judy. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Faucette of Raleigh were Sunday night sup per guests of his brother, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Faucette, and girls. Lois Ann Wall was honored at a birthday party Sunday given by her parents, the Kenneth Walls, in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wil ton Wall. Those attending were heT grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ruffin Hinnant of Wendell, and Mrs. Hinnant’s sister and grand children, Mr. and Mrs. Duke Phelps and children of Raleigh, Mrs. C. H. Driver, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Driver and boys, Mr. and Mrs. Coy Driver and Mike, Mrs. Sam Lewis and Jerry, Janet and Joan Faucette, Mrs. Oliver and children, Mrs. Therous Johnson and Gary, William Gay of Zebulon, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wall of Corinth, and Mr. and Mrs. Claude Johnson and boys of Raleigh. Talvin Daughtridge of Rocky Mount called on his sister, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Lewis, and Judy Sun day. Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Avery and son of Selma called on her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Waylon Hinton, Sd Dale. Mrs. Coy Driver visited her grandmother in Johnston Memo rial Hospital Saturday night. Janet Faucette spent ’ Friday night with her aunt, Mr. and Mrs. John R. Bailey, of Raleigh. Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Batten of Raleigh called on his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Batten, Sunday. Rev. Ellis Taft was the Sunday dinner and supper guest of Mr. and Mrs. Avon Creech and family. Mrs. C. H. Driver is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilton Wall this week. Mr. and Mrs. Willie Boyette of Glendale called on their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Coy Driver, and Mike recently. Nealey Wall of Norfolk, Va., spent the weekend with his par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilton Wall, and boys. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph GloveT of Clayton visited Mr. and Mrs. Frank Faucette and Joan Friday night. Barna Wilder of A.C.C. spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. O. Wilder. Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Johnson of Glendale spent Friday night with their son, Mr. and Mrs. Therous Johnson, and Gary. Marie Hatcher, a student at Rex, spent Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. I. T. Hatcher. The Eastern Stars met with Mr. and Mrs. D. O. Wilder Saturday night. Hales Chapel News Mr. and Mrs. Herman Creech and daughter, Beverly, Charlie Parrish and Mr. and Mrs. Beryle Creech spent last Sunday in Wil mington. Steve and Terry Driver of Arch er’s Lodge spent the week with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Driver, and family. Mrs. Salley Whitley of Fayette ville spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Hin ton, and family. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Frazier and children of Wake Forest visited the Douglas Browns Saturday. Mrs. Helen Leonard returned to Rex Hospital last Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Frannie Brown and Mrs. Brown’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Price, moved from our com munity near Raleigh on the Poole Road last week. The Minnie Hinton Circle met last Tuesday night with Mrs. Dor othy Chamblee with ten members present. After an interesting pro gram on Prayer and Missions re freshments were s rved consist ing of cake and ice cream with cherry on top, nuts and punch. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Godwin of Oak Grove were Sunday after noon guests of her sister, the Thel bert Creeches. George Brown of Fort Jackson, S. C., is spending a 14 day fur lough with his parents, the Doug las Browns. Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Johnson and family of Raleigh called on her sister, the demon Johnson family, Sunday afternoon. Sandra Helms celebrated her 10th birthday with a party at her home Saturday afternoon given by her parents. There were 14 guests present for the occasion. Mr. and Mrs. William Driver and daughter, Pat, and the Jim my Drivers went to Lake Wheeler at Raleigh Sunday afternoon. Visiting the Will Creeches Sun day were Mr. and Mrs. Braxton Gregory, the Billy Ray Creeches of Raleigh and Mr. and Mrs. Dur wood Liles and family of Garner. Sunday nights guests of the Ashley Creeches were the William Wheelers of Cattail, the Will Hin tons of Antioch and the Vaiden Richardsons. Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Driver vis ited her mother, Mrs. P. G. Curtiss, and her brother near Zebulon Sat urday night. The Larry Andrews and son were Sunday afternoon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Garner Andrews near Raleigh. The Ell Price Circle met with Mrs. Joyce Helms Monday night. / Local Church to Participate in Bishop's Appeal The Zebulon Methodist Church will participate on Sunday, April 23, in the Bishop’s Appeal for Af rica. The Appeal is being made to the ten million Methodists in America to aid in the training of African natives in medicine, teach ing and religion. A goal of $2, 500,000. has been set in this Churchwide appeal, the first major appeal since the Hungarian Revolt of 1957.
